TASTING ROOM GRAND OPENING

With a passion for wine, farming, and a love for the ranch lifestyle, Joey Arnold and sister Michelle Pascoe have at last opened their tasting room! For over 10 years this sibling duo has been making wine from their family's estate vineyard in Pozo and now can sell their wine on site.

Joey follows a light-handed approach to winemaking, preferring to stay out of nature's way. "The fruit does most of the work," says Arnold. "I use small lots to craft balanced wines to reflect the distinctive terroir of Pozo Valley. With our new winery we can pick the fruit and get it inside the winery before the fog has a chance to lift in the morning. This makes my job seamless with high-quality fruit coming in and a great facility to work with. I can't wait to see how this vintage turns out. It's been a great year." 

The new facility is designed in the quaint, inviting style of a rustically elegant tin barn. Bring a picnic and they will supply the perfect wine to compliment the meal, or simply enjoy a tasting and finish up by walking over to the Pozo Saloon next door for lunch.

"Vintage Cowboy really embraces our family's history in Pozo. My family came here five generations ago to farm and ranch," says Pascoe, "and it is a privilege to be able to carry on and share these traditions."

Vintage Cowboy Winery is located at 10 Pozo Road Santa Margarita, CA next to the Pozo Saloon. They are open Saturday-Sunday 11am-5pm. The tasting fee for sampling five wines is $5.00 per person and complimentary with bottle purchase or if you join the wine club.
